He called on his supporters not to heat up the polity but to remain calm and law abiding in the face of alleged provocation by the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state.

Ortom appreciated concerns expressed by different people over his alleged harassment through petitions to anti-graft agencies, as well as arrests of his appointees and impoundment of his vehicles.

Recall that recently, the asset recovery committee set up by Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia surprised Nigerians when they raided the automobile workshop owned by former governor Samuel Ortom with towing vehicles and removed a number of vehicles.

Alia, through his Chief Press Secretary, Kula Tersoo, had a fortnight ago alleged that government vehicles, numbering 29, were allegedly looted by the past governor.
