Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has appealed to Nigerian youths to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his efforts to salvage the country.
Wike made the call yesterday while speaking at an event organised by a political pressure group, Folashade Tinubu Solidarity Movement (FOTSOM) in Port Harcourt.
The minister, who was represented by the member representing Rivers State in the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Tony Okocha, applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his decision to remove fuel subsidy.
He pointed out that Tinubu’s decision was borne out of his desire to tackle all teething problems facing the country.

The minister said, ‘As rational in every intellectual discourse, I shall limit my horizon to the present Nigeria, as attempting to a holistic approach to the issue, may take forever to encapsulate and fathom.
‘President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in an inspiring extempore presentation to Nigerians on May 29, 2023, intelligently isolated the teething problems of Nigeria and reeled out possible road maps to navigate to the panaceas.’
He called on the youths to support the renewed Hope agenda of Mr President asking for patience and support.
In another report, Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has declared that his predecessor, Wike, remains his ‘oga’ (boss) despite everything that has happened.
Governor Fubara made this known in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital yesterday when both met for the first time in the state since the poltical crisis broke out.
Fubara had last week expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his ‘fatherly intervention’ in the political crisis that rocked the state recently.
He said that the president’s mediation ‘opened a series of communication channels to facilitate the timely resolution of the festering political crisis’.
He also thanked elder statesmen, who also waded into the matter to ensure that peace and stability returned to the state.
