US rapper, Kanye West Dragged To Court for assault, battery

Popular American rapper Kanye West who is now known as Ye has been dragged to court over alleged assault and battery by a man who approached him for an autograph.

Documents obtained which were sighted by Africa Today News, New York on Friday say the alleged victim claimed he was attacked on 13 January, 2022, while he was waiting outside a hotel to get Kanye’s autograph.

The man claimed to have demanded an apology from the singer to which he replied, “Apology for what?” before allegedly striking him again multiple times and severely injuring him.

He alleged that one of the people who accompanied Kanye tried to stop the attack, but he barked back, “go to the f**king house and get my fucking kids.

US rapper Kanye West apologized to the Jewish community Tuesday, after a series of anti-Semitic comments that sparked outrage and led to the star being dropped from lucrative commercial deals and banned from social media.

The reason for the timing of the mea culpa was unclear — West’s most high profile outbursts came more than a year ago — although his next album, “Vultures,” is due out in two weeks.

“I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions. It was not my intention to hurt or disrespect, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused,” Kanye West said in a statement written in Hebrew on his Instagram page.

“I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future.”

Several of the comments below the statement complained that it was written in Hebrew, which comparatively few people can read.
