Nabeeha Rescue 5 Remaining Abducted Girls Now, Obi Urges FG

A former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi has called on the President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government and security agencies to immediately do whatever they can to rescue the remaining abducted five daughters of Al-Kadriyar.

Africa Today News, New York reports that six daughters of Mansoor Al-Kadriyar were abducted by terrorists in Abuja, the nation’s capital, few days ago with the terrorists demanding for N60 million ransom.

They killed Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar, the eldest daughter and threatened to kill the others by Friday if they did not get the ransom they demanded.

Obi, in series of tweets on Sunday said that the reported tragic killing of Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar, a student of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, who was kidnapped alongside her father and siblings in Abuja, by bandits, not only showed how insecurity currently ravaged the nation, but also showed how helpless Nigerians have become in the face of these dangers.

He lamented that the trauma being experienced by this family and the blood of this innocent child, should prick “our conscience as leaders, whose duty it is to protect the life of every Nigerian citizen.

“The fact that these kidnappings, killings and other reported cases of armed robbery and violent attacks, are now taking place in Abuja, the nation’s capital, is a clear pointer to how insecure the rest of the country now is.”

In a related development, Obi said the suspected gunmen were reported to have set ablaze the palace of the Traditional Ruler of Isseke Community in Anambra State, HRH Igwe Emmanuel Nnabuife.

“I am very concerned about how insecurity has continued to ravage every part of our dear nation.

“The government and the security agencies, who are at the fore front of this war against insecurity, need to put in more efforts to rescue the remaining family members in captivity, ensure that every part of the nation is secure and that every Nigerian is protected in our nation.

“Hopefully, they will ensure that such violent crimes are no longer committed in our nation. I sincerely commiserate with the bereaved family and pray God Almighty to forgive Nabeehav Al-Kadriyar’s sins and grant her eternal rest and grant the rest of the family members their freedom from captivity. We shall conquer,” he said.
