Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a fresh bid worth £68 million ($86 million) to sign highly-rated Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City, according to multiple reports. The North London club has now shifted its focus to the 20-year-old after missing out on Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, who is closing in on a move to Arsenal.
Savinho, also known as Sávio, enjoyed a breakout season on loan at Girona, where his pace, skill, and creativity on the flanks played a key role in the club’s impressive La Liga campaign. His ability to operate on either wing and his eye for both goals and assists have made him one of Europe’s most promising young attackers.
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has made no secret of his desire to strengthen his squad with more attacking options as Spurs aim to compete in both the Premier League and European competitions this season. Losing out on Eze to their North London rivals has heightened the urgency, and Savinho has quickly become the club’s top target.

Manchester City originally signed Savinho from Brazilian side Atlético Mineiro in 2022 and immediately loaned him out to Girona, part of the City Football Group. While City have not made a final decision on the player’s long-term future, Tottenham’s structured bid—believed to include add-ons and performance-related clauses—could prove persuasive.
For Spurs, this move represents more than just adding depth; it signals their intent to build for the future. Postecoglou’s system thrives on quick transitions, wide play, and direct attacking movement—qualities Savinho brings in abundance. At just 20 years old, he fits the profile of a player who can grow into a long-term star at the club.
If the deal is completed, Savinho would become one of Tottenham’s biggest signings of the summer transfer window, reflecting the club’s ambition to close the gap on England’s top teams. While competition for his signature remains possible, Spurs are pushing hard to ensure he becomes their marquee addition.
