Manchester United Explore Move For Crystal Palace’s Marc Guéhi

Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Marc Guéhi as the club look to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the upcoming season. The Crystal Palace centre-back has been linked with a number of clubs, and United’s interest is said to be “concrete.”

Guéhi, who has established himself as one of Palace’s key players and a regular in the England national team, appears to be attracting serious attention after another strong campaign. Reports indicate that Crystal Palace value the defender at £50 million or more, with some valuations reaching the £60-65 million mark.

From United’s perspective, the signing of a high-calibre defender is a priority as they look to build a more solid back line and compete at the highest level. Guéhi fits the profile: young but experienced, Premier League-tested, and comfortable in England’s starting XI.

However, any deal is unlikely to be straightforward. Palace have indicated they are under no rush to sell and are keen to tie Guéhi down to a new contract to protect his value. With his current contract still having time remaining, Palace are in a strong negotiating position — meaning United will probably need to meet the asking price in full to secure a deal.

For United, the focus now will likely be on evaluating whether Guéhi is the right fit both in terms of style and cost, and whether the club can agree terms with Palace without over-stretching their budget. With other clubs also circling the player, a move for Guéhi could become one of the key centre-back battles of the transfer window.
