Popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has warned against another world war after gaining his freedom.
The activist gave this warning in a first video, which surfaced after he was released on Monday by the Government of Republic of Benin, after about 231 days in detention.
In the video, the embattled Yoruba activist was sighted discussing the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia.
He said, ‘Let’s hope that this Ukraine crisis won’t lead to a third world war. May God not let us witness war in the world’.
Igboho, who was arrested in Benin’s capital, Cotonou on accusations of ‘criminal association’, in July 2, 2021, was released on Monday to attend to his health.

According to his lawyer, the pioneer of Oduduwa republic will not be allowed back to Nigeria until the completion of his case.
Meanwhile, following his release from detention, his lawyer has revealed that he is not likely Cotonou, Benin Republic despite his release from detention in the country.
His counsel, Yomi Aliyyu (SAN), made this revelation in a briefing with newsmen on Tuesday,
Aliyyu said Igboho was released to his medical doctors with the agreement that he would not leave Cotonou for any reason.
He said, ‘I am to inform you that Chief Sunday Adeyemo, aka Igboho Oosa, has been released from prison to his medical practitioners under the agreement that he should not leave the medical centre or Cotonou for any reason.
‘Praises should be given to two prominent Yoruba personalities to wit; Prof Wale Adeniran and Prof (Banji) Akintoye, for this turnaround in our client’s matter.’
