He spoke during a visit to Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, in Ilorin, the state capital. The former Senator from Kano State appealed to aggrieved lawmakers not to rock the boat.

He said: “I don’t know the facts that they have. But as their former colleague, I want them to tread very softly.

“They should not be in a hurry to rock the boat. Yes, I know they have reasons to be worried – I am sure everybody in this country is worried about insecurity; because some of these things could happen to anybody – even the presidential fleet was attacked in Katsina State. So, I think we need to do more.”

The Senate Minority Caucus had walked out of a plenary session over failure of the Upper Legislative chamber to commence Buhari’s impeachment.

The opposition had demanded that the Senate serve Buhari an impeachment notice, but was turned down by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.

Despite the initial failed move, the opposition had given Buhari six weeks to solve the issue of insecurity in the country.

In another report, while unveiling Edo State-born Bishop, Isaac Idahosa as his running mate for the 2023 elections, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and Kano State ex-governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso vowed to rescue Nigeria if given the chance to lead it in the next year’s elections.

Africa Today News, New York had reported that Idahosa who is the presiding Bishop and Senior Pastor of the God First Ministry, Lekki Light Centre, was on Monday unveiled at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.

Speaking during the event, Kwankwaso asserted that Nigeria ‘is currently bleeding’, adding that the country is in need of people who can rescue it from total collapse.

He said his lack of understanding of how to govern a multi-cultural, multi-religious, and multi-ethnic country like Nigeria by President Muhammadu Buhari, has inflicted a severe wound on the country.
