Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis has come out again to reiterate that he is not prepared to sell star striker, Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window despite growing interest from European football giants.
Africa Today News, New York had earlier reported that Osimhen led the Azzurrin side to their first Serie A title win in 33 years after he scored a scudetto-sealing equaliser in their 1-1 draw against Udinese on Thursday night.
Napoli president disclosed that he plans to keep most of the stars of the team together for next season, adding that he had also put all modalities in place for a contract extension for coach Luciano Spalletti.
‘I will not sell Victor Osimhen this summer — no way,’ he told Rai.
‘I’ve already activated and triggered the option to extend Luciano Spalletti’s contract for next season.’

Africa Today News, New York reports that Osimhen is already on course to become the first African player to win the Italian Serie A Golden Boot with 22 goals this campaign with about 4 games left to be played.
He has already broken the Samuel Eto’o’s record (21) for the most goals scored by an African Player in a single Serie A season, and tied George Weah’s record for the highest African goalscorer in Serie A with 46 goals.
Bayern Munich, PSG, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are some of the clubs rumoured to be battling for his signature this summer.
Napoli’s 16-point lead over second-placed Lazio leaves them with a month-long parade between now and the end of the season which will allow their long-suffering supporters to fully unload more than a generation of frustration.
Meanwhile, many Nigerians have taken to social media to shower praises on Oshimen after his achievement.
Oshimen has now become a top target for many top clubs in Europe particularly in the English Premier League following his recent heroics.
