The acting Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, has directed the deployment of 35 Commissioners of Police to various commands and formations. He further highlighted that these postings were testaments to his unwavering commitment to fostering efficient policing, strengthening security measures, and safeguarding law and order throughout the country.
As disclosed in the statement released on Tuesday by the Force spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, CP Adelesi Oluwarotimi has been deployed to Kwara State Command, CP Adebola Hamzat to Oyo State Command, CP Augustina Ogbodo to Ebonyi State Command, CP Samuel Musa to Kebbi State Command, CP Aderemi Adeoye to Anambra State Command, CP Auwal Musa to Bauchi State Command, and CP Alamatu Abiodun Mustapha to Ogun State Command.
The statement also revealed that CP Margaret Ochalla has been posted to the Police Special Fraud Unit Annex in Lagos, CP Banji Ogunrinde will head the Explosive Ordnance Unit, CP Rhoda Olofu will be serving at Ports Authority Police Western in Lagos, CP Kareem Musa has been assigned to Interpol Annex in Lagos, CP Audu Dabigi will join the Border Patrol Force, CP Abibo Reuben will be part of the Police Mobile Force, CP Adekunle Olusokan will serve at Welfare FHQ in Abuja, CP Omolara Oloruntola has been assigned to the Special Fraud Unit FCID in Abuja, and CP Abaniwonda Olufemi will serve as the Deputy Force Secretary, among others.

He mentioned that the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) had encouraged the appointed Commissioners of Police to actively engage in his policies, vision, and mission for the Nigerian Police Force.
According to him, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) had called on the freshly assigned Commissioners of Police to fully integrate themselves with his policies, vision, and mission for the Nigerian Police Force.
‘While urging them to serve as exemplary leaders, fostering harmonious relationships with other security agencies, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders, the Inspector-General of Police tasks them to promote intelligence-led policing, proactive crime prevention strategies, and community engagement initiatives that will enhance public trust and confidence in the Nigerian Police Force,’ the statement added.
These appointments aim to strengthen security measures and maintain law and order in Ogun, Oyo, Kwara, and other states across the country.
