RITA

RITA
Couldn’t be better, I thank God. Eh! Lately, I ran into Dan, my dear, you need to see the ride, he’s cruising in; ‘Honda, discussion continues and the way, he’s dressed like a top Hollywood star.
NGOZI
Oh! That’s nice, I’m happy for him.
RITA
Me too oh! He’s more of a lady’s man now.

Rita! Hope you’re not thinking of ‘ehm’ because of his new status?
RITA

Ray rocking slowly in his SWIVEL CHAIR and appearing very dejected as KEN comes in to see him.

What’s up man? Why haven’t you been taking my calls?
RAY
My guy, you wouldn’t understand.
KEN
What do you mean by that? I have been waiting for you in my office for over four hours to bring me my company’s audit report as you promised earlier.
RAY
I’m sorry about that.
KEN
Tell me Ray, what’s eating you up?
RAY
You know my fiancée is pursuing her master’s degree in Business Administration at University of Pennsylvania.
KEN
Yea, yea! I’m aware, what about her?
RAY
The school authority is demanding that she pays off her fees else she wouldn’t be allowed to write her final exam and it’s just barely a week from today. I’m so confused on what to do.
KEN
So how much is the amount?
RAY
The total fee is $85, 000 but I’ve been able to pay $40, 000 out of it. Honestly, ken, I’m just tired of life, I feel like committing suicide, where do I get that kind of money from now.
