JEFF sits in the LIVINGROOM waiting to see his LANDLORD and within a short while, he walks in from the BEDROOM.
JEFF
Good evening sir.
KADIRI
Good evening Jeff, please sit down.
JEFF
Thank you sir!
KADIRI
I asked you to see me because of the unbearable attitude of your friend; Collins in this house, I want you to warn him seriously because my wife and I can no longer tolerate his irresponsible behavior here. That was why I came to see him earlier in the morning and talk to him but he was still in bed by 7am; an employee, what a pity!
JEFF
I’m really sorry about his attitude sir, please don’t take it too far, I will definitely talk to him.
KADIRI
Talk some sense into his silly brain to stop disturbing everybody in the compound else I would have no other option than to ask you to pack out of my house; better still you ask him to leave your apartment before his stupidity leads you into trouble after all you pay the rent not him.
JEFF
It’s all right sir, I perfectly understand how you feel and I promise you there won’t be further occurrence of such offensive attitude of his. Please, I promise.
KADIRI
It’s okay, I know you’re reasonable and that’s why I decided to speak with you first before taking any drastic action.
JEFF
Thank you sir for having such confidence in me.
KADIRI

JEFF and COLLINS in the LIVINGROOM almost leaving for their various PLACES of WORK and the FORMER briefly speaks to him about having a DISCUSSION with him in the EVENING.
COLLINS
Tax collector, you’re leaving rather late this morning, won’t you collect early morning fare today?
JEFF
Good morning Collins.
COLLINS
You’ve not answered my question and you’re telling me good morning.
JEFF
Am I bound by any obligation to respond to your silly question?
