Insecurity Nigeria Christian Leadership Begins Weekly Prayers

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) President, Rev Samson Ayokunle, has announced the reconstitution of the Chaplaincy Committee of the National Christian Centre as it is set to commence weekly prayers over present insecurity in the country.

Africa Today News, New York gathered that the body has resolved to organize regular prayers for the country against security challenges for economic recovery.

The committee has a two-year tenure that took effect from September 27, 2021.

The Coordinating Chaplain, Rev Ini Ukpuho has a three-year tenure. He is the North-Central Chairman, Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN).

CAN General Secretary, Joseph Daramola charged the team to “be creative in organizing and handling programmes so that CAN’s aim would be fulfilled”.

Daramola urged them to begin weekly services immediately and ensure Christians nationwide participate at their convenience.

Ukpuho will be assisted by Bishop Benjamin; Fuduta; Rev Israel Akanji will serve as the Adviser.

The chaplains are Rev Jonah Samson; Rev Fr. Robert Achiaga – Chaplain (Treasurer); Rev Timothy Amacomi – (PRO); Bishop Mike Akpami – Chaplain (Secretary); Ven Joshua Lambert.

The members are Messrs Chike Eguwum, Yakubu Enekola, and Mrs. Felicia Jesse.
