Prof. MarkAnthony Nze, a renowned mass communicator, social critic, and public intellectual, believes it is appropriate to encourage Nigeria’s thronging youths by establishing a journalism prize in which those who are genuinely interested can all participate and the most brilliant ones amongst them emerge winners.

Prof. MarkAnthony Nze has deemed it appropriate to encourage Nigeria’s youth in an age when the majority of youth in Africa, particularly in Nigeria, spend their time engaging in frivolous activities that frequently do not add value to their lives or the lives of their communities.

Recall that the Big Brother programme,(BBNaija) which promoted numerous obscene acts but added little noble value to Nigerian society, should be discontinued, while academic, professional, and good sporting activities should be introduced on a regular basis in African countries to encourage African youths to pursue careers in these noble fields for the continent’s and world’s benefit.
