Insecurity Bandits Abduct 14 In Kaduna

No fewer than fourteen persons at station community, near Idon town in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State were reportedly kidnapped by bandits on Saturday.

A source in Kajuru Local Government Council who spoke to reporters on the condition of anonimity gave the names of the victims as Abdullahi, Yakubu Isah, Samson Julius, Angelina Julius, Pasema Daniel and Junior.

He went on to add that others are Bobo Julius, Saratu Mohammed, Asenath Sunday, Confidence Jerry, Barnaki Sunday, Moses Kenneth, Danladi Goma and Ummi Jibrin.

According to him, “These are the names of abducted persons in Iri Station which we have discovered for now. The sad event happened in the early hours of today, June 4, 2022.”

He told reporters that some of the earlier kidnapped victims are still with the bandits, saying that their loved ones and the communities have not been able to raise the ransom.

Meanwhile, it was all jubilation galore as the daughter of the Kaduna State polytechnic lecturer, Dr Ramatu Abarsh, who was held back after her mother was released has been set free by bandits.

Africa Today News, New York recalls that Dr Ramatu Dr Abarshi, her daughter and their driver, Ibrahim, were abducted on April 24, 2022, along Kachia-Kaduna Highway while returning from a Charity mission.

Recall that her mother was released a few weeks following the payment of an undisclosed amount as ransom, living her daughter, and driver in the hands of the kidnapper.

A family source told reporters over the weekend that she was released on Tuesday, after spending 38 days in captivity.

According to him, immediately after she was released, she was taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical treatment
