As the aftermath of the gruesome massacre of worshippers by gunmen at Saint Francis Catholic Church last Sunday in Owo, headquarters of Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, some of the women in the town on Wednesday have protested against the attack while laying curse on the perpetrators.
The women in their numbers who trooped for the protest also placed curses on the gunmen who carried out the attacks.
Led by the Iyaloja of the Owo, Chief Mrs Iwaloye, who condemned the gruesome killing, the women marched through major streets in the town and called for the arrest of the gunmen as well as enhanced security of lives in the town.

During the protest, the women visited the seven traditional sites in the town where they performed rituals and placed curses on the attackers.
The women also visited the Church where the worshippers were killed to commiserate with the priest, stressing that the perpetrators will not go unpunished for defiling God’s house.
While addressing the women at his palace, the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, appealed to his people not to vent their anger on innocent people as he assured that measures have been taken to ensure that the perpetrators were arrested.
The monarch appealed to the women to keep their wards from criminal acts and to stay away from violence.
Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church has also declared that the attackers of St. Francis Church, Owo in Ondo State will be punished for their actions.
Oyedepo declared instant judgment on the killers, saying they will perish with their sponsors.
He said, “The devil is very scared of the church because that is where God empowers his people to rule in the midst of the enemies. That is why those vagabonds were out there in Ondo State to kill.
“I can tell you this, if they escape death, God has not sent me. Their generation will smell, and the people who sent them will smell. They shall be forgotten. The back of their camel is already broken.
“Everybody living is created by God. All the gang-up from hell against the well-being of this nation has come under a curse. Curse be to all those causing attacks in this country.”
