The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu has declared that the party will ensure the victory of presidential flagbearer Bola Tinubu in 2023 as a way of thanking Buhari for all he did for Nigeria.

Adamu made this assertion while speaking on Saturday at a meeting of party leaders with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.

‘Our main goal is to see the success of the APC in the forthcoming general elections.

‘There’s no better parting gift (to Buhari) than to ensure that the APC produces the next President’, he noted.

Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) Chairman, Atiku Bagudu told Buhari that he had set a precedent for internal democracy in parties.

The governor of Kebbi state said the Nigerian leader was determined to see the democratic process work.

‘What we have seen is that democratic processes can produce very excellent results.’

Bagudu added that the ruling platform has a candidate and a running mate (Kashim Shettima) ‘whom we are all proud of’.

Meanwhile, as more sentiments including bashing follow the controversial unveiling of the APC Vice Presidential candidate which had featured some allegedly fake bishops, the former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye has blasted the APC and while reacting to the attendance of the controversial bishops at the unveiling of Kashim Shettima, the presidential running mate of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Melaye had reiterated that the presence of the alleged bishops at Shettima’s unveiling had exposed APC’s desperation for power and corruption.

Recall that during the ceremony at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja on Wednesday, some unidentified persons robed in apparel peculiar to that of Christian clerics had attended the event to show support for the APC vice-presidential candidate.
