Gov Ortom Lauds Retiring DSS Director For Benue State

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has come out to fully laud and appreciate all the selfless and meritorious services which have been rendered to Benue State by the retiring State Director of the Department of State Services, DSS, Mr Adebayo Ilupeju who is on his way to retiring next week.

The Governor had already given out a speech in his honour on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022 during a cocktail party and a command performance which had been in honour of the retiring security chief which had also been held at the new Banquet Hall of the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi.

Governor Ortom had also affirmed that Mr Ilupeju carried out his assignment with a high sense of professionalism and patriotism, stating that “He ensured justice and fairness to everyone in all circumstances about his office.”

He stated that the retiring state security chief, “never worked in isolation” but he had managed to carry all persons along in the discharge of some of his duties for the good of all citizens.

He described Mr Ilupeju as an upright man and a worthy ambassador of the country because he demonstrated sterling leadership qualities without compromising his rules of engagement all through his service in the state.

“What we are done today is the beginning of honours that will be showered on you from now onwards. You have been an exceptional intelligence officer who served your fatherland faithfully. And God will continue to bless you at all times,” the Governor stated.

He had also further acknowledged the effective collaboration of the DSS under the leadership of the retiring director with the help of the State Government for the protection of lives and property, pointing out that the security formation under Mr Ilupeju added immense value to the state.
