Nigeria Now Producing Sim Cards, Smart Phones - Pantami

The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has openly described the Nigerian Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof Isa Pantami, as one of the most “resourceful, innovative and effective public officials that I have in the administration.”

President Buhari had made this disclosure in a goodwill message which had been signed by Malam Garba Shehu who is the President’s media aide, on Wednesday on Pantami’s 50th birthday anniversary, which would be coming up on October 20.

The message read: “The appointment of Pantami was one of the best choices I have made because he has added tremendous value to good governance.

“Pantami’s depth of knowledge of complex issues is amazing and remarkable.”

According to the president, Pantami’s loyalty and dedication to duty is also worthy of emulation.

President Buhari had also further wished Pantami more good health and wisdom in the service of the country and humanity while praying Almighty Allah to continue to bless him as he attains a remarkable journey of life.

In another report, the Nigerian Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Pantami, has explained that he received quite a number of threats from some citizens following the National Identity Policy Implementation.

Pantami also revealed that the President Muhammadu Buhari administration has increased the National Identity Database by 150% in three years.

Pantami made this disclosure in his remarks at this year’s National Identity Day commemoration titled, ‘Institutions as Critical Stakeholders for Citizens’ Mobilisation’, in Abuja on Friday.

He lauded the success story of the policy despite stiff opposition.

He added that the digital Economy sector remitted more money to the FG government more than any other sector.
