2023 Why Outcome Of Presidential Poll Is Uncertain – Moghalu
Prof. Kingsley Moghalu

Ahead of next year’s Presidential elections, a former presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Congress, Kingsley Moghalu, has predicted states the presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu; Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi; and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, will win with so many votes.

According to Moghalu, Tinubu would is set to poll majority votes in Lagos State, Kwankwaso would garner most of the votes in Kano State and Obi would win in Rivers State.

The former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), explained that the scenario leaves the outcome of the 2023 election uncertain.

In a series of tweets, Moghalu pointed out that nobody can predict who will win the 2023 presidential election.

According to him, it’s a good thing that politicians will have to sweat for votes in 2023.

He wrote: ‘I predict @KwankwasoRM will win majority of Kano votes in the presidential election. @officialABAT will likely win in Lagos, and @PeterObi will likely win in Rivers.

‘Three of the four most populous voting states in Nigeria. This scenario leaves the election outcome uncertain.

‘Anyone who tells you who will win the presidential election “for sure” is deceiving you -or perhaps himself or herself.

‘That’s a good thing for democracy. Let the politicians sweat. We can only hope that they sweat to govern as much as they sweat to win.

‘There are other large vote-population states like Oyo too (although its PDP Gov is not with Atiku as of now). Kaduna and Katsina, although both are strong APC states. But we can never know what will happen for sure.’

Africa Today News, New York reports that the elections which is now 100 days away is now set to become Nigeria’s most keenly contested elections in history.
