Why South Sudan President Peed Himself In public – Shehu Sani

A former Nigerian federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani has shared his thoughts on reasons that might have led to the President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit wetting himself during a public function.

Africa Today New York reports that Mayardit was earlier in the week sighted in a viral video peeing himself while opening a road project on Tuesday.

The 71-year-old Mayardit peed himself during the recitation of the national anthem and the event was broadcast live on television, meaning that nothing could be done to rectify the embarrassing situation.

According to reports, he was to be suffering from a urinary tract infection, which is common in older men.

The viral video elicited mixed reactions from the international community and Sani said the President may have been extremely patriotic.

‘I have seen a viral video of the President of South Sudan wetting himself in public.

‘This may be a urinary sickness or an extreme act of patriotism; refusal to excuse himself while the national anthem was being played.’

Africa Today News, New York reports that Salva Kiir Mayardit who has been the President of the country since its independence on 9 July 2011 peed himself during the recitation of the national anthem.

Unfortunately, because the event was broadcast live on television, nothing could be done to rectify the embarrassing situation.
The viral video has elicited mixed reactions from the international community, with many social media users expressing opposing viewpoints.
Some also accused the cameramen of doing a dirty job by disgracing their president, while others said they did the right thing by exposing the President as medically unfit to lead a country.
