I Regret My Altercation With Olamide At Headies – Don Jazzy

Popular singer and music executive, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has revealed why he actually regrets his altercation with his colleague, Olamide, at the 2015 Headies Awards.

Both men are currently big label owners in Nigeria who have continued to sign big artists and dominate the industry.

Africa Today News, New York recall that there was mild drama at the 2015 Headies Awards event after Don Jazzy’s signee, Reekado Banks, was announced the winner of the highly coveted Next Rated category, which Olamide rejected, saying his YBNL-protégé, Lil Kesh deserved it more.

Speaking on the recent episode of Doyin’s Corner podcast hosted by former Big Brother Naija housemate, Doyin, Don Jazzy admitted that his action at the 2015 Headies Awards was out of character.

He said, ‘There was the Headies incident [my alteration with Olamide]. That one was also out of character. I regretted that like instantly as soon as I came down from the stage.’

He said he had already apologized to the organisers and Olamide.

In another report, famous Nigerian singer, David Adeleke popularly known by his stage name, Davido has recounted how his billionaire dad, Chief Adedeji Adeleke bribed him to complete his degree program many years ago.

Africa Today News, New York reports that Davido graduated with a second-class upper degree from the Music Department of Babcock University in Osun State just before he went into the music industry fully.

While featuring on the latest episode of the +44 Amazon Music podcast recently, the singer revealed that he was forced to go back to the university after initially quitting to focus on his music career.

He revealed that his dad entered a deal with him that if he attended lectures from Mondays to Fridays, he would build him a world-class studio and provide him funds to shoot music videos on weekends.
