The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu returned to Abuja Friday night after about 12-day absence from the country which saw him attend to several official and private engagements.
Africa Today News, New York recalls that he had on 17th of September departed Nigeria to attend the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), in New York, United States of America.
It was his first participation at the UN General Assembly, since he was sworn-in last May.
After delivering the national statement and holding several meetings on the sidelines of the global assembly, he rang the closing bell at NASDAQ.

Last week Thursday, the President departed New York and headed to Paris, France.
There was no statement about his mission in the country, but sources said he went for a short vacation.
His return Friday comes amid the threat by the labour unions to declare an indefinite strike from 3 October, if he fails to address the rising cost of living in his 1 October broadcast to mark Nigeria’s 63rd Independence anniversary.
Meanwhile, a New York based-lawyer and chartered accountant Chief Owolabi Salis has charged the President on the need to ensure fairness and equity in his appointments.
He said this in a statement issued from his United States of America base, against the backdrop of criticisms trailing the choice of the President into key positions.
According to him, appointments ordinarily should be an avenue to engineering national unity and cohesion.
Salis, who is also an expert in diversity management noted that division was not an option for the new administration in view of current challenges facing the nation.
He stressed that this was considering the division which polarised the country along religious and ethnic lines during the recent general elections.
