Anambra Governor Chukwuma Soludo of APGA, Action Alliance candidate Jeff Nweke and other candidates are scheduled to vote at noon as the state elects its next leader.
Voters across Anambra State head to the polls today to elect their next governor, with key candidates including incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo and Action Alliance’s Jeff Nweke expected to cast their votes around midday.
Governor Soludo, who represents the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), is scheduled to vote at 12 p.m. in his hometown of Isuofia, located in Aguata Local Government Area. His Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, confirmed the governor’s voting time, adding that the atmosphere in Isuofia remains peaceful and filled with anticipation as residents prepare to support their community’s most prominent son.
Similarly, the Action Alliance candidate, Chief Ozo Jeff Nweke, plans to vote at the same time in Ogbugbankwa, within Awka South Local Government Area. His Media Adviser, Tony Oraeki, told reporters that Nweke would arrive at his polling station by noon to participate in what is expected to be one of the most closely watched elections in the state’s recent history.

The Anambra governorship race has drawn national attention, with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deploying officials and security personnel across the state to ensure a smooth and credible process.
