Harry Kane has clarified his future amid speculation over renewing his contract with Bayern Munich and possibly returning to the Premier League. In a series of recent interviews, Kane indicated he remains fully committed to Bavaria — but made it clear his desire to head back to England has softened after two settled years at Bayern.
Kane’s deal with Bayern runs until 2027, and while talks over an extension have not yet begun, he said he would be open to having “an honest conversation” if they come up. His willingness to commit longer is conditional: what the club achieves and how both he and Bayern progress in the near future will play a major part.
His desire to return to the Premier League has “gone down a little bit,” Kane admitted. When he first left Tottenham in 2023, a return seemed much more likely; now, though, life in Germany, the success Bayern have had, and the ambitions they share are making a comeback less certain. Still, Kane was clear he isn’t ruling anything out entirely.

Kane also insisted he isn’t feeling pressure. The forward stressed he isn’t in the final year of his contract, there is no panic, and that he’s calm. He voiced respect for Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany, saying that as long as he feels he is improving — personally and with the team — he is happy to stay focused.
The comments come as Kane continues to make a sensational start to the 2025-26 season, scoring heavily both for club and country. With Bayern pressing for major trophies—including Champions League ambitions—the stakes for both player and club remain high. Extending now could mean entering what might be the peak years of his career with stability and belief in the direction of the club.
