In a post on his verified Facebook page which was sighted by Africa Today News, New York, the former lawmaker asserted that the aspirants are only concerned about picking forms, and erecting billboards.

He said, ‘Most of the presidential aspirants are not serious. For the ruling party, they visit the Villa, buy form, erect billboards in Abuja and that’s it.

‘For the opposition party, they buy form, visit Minna and Ota, erect billboards in Abuja and that’s it. Any presidential aspirant who has not gone round the states is not to be taken seriously’.

Meanwhile, a Presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stated that he remains unshaken and he is very confident of winning the presidential ticket of the party.

The former Governor of Lagos who is in the race with at least 20 other aspirants in the APC made the assertion while he spoke weekend in Jalingo, Taraba State capital after an interaction with delegates of the party who would be voting at the end of the month.

He went on to explain that his chances of winning the presidential ticket are very high at the moment.

According to him, ‘my chances of winning the ticket are incredibly high and I am very confident. I am sure I can and I will win it.’

When quizzed if the option of a consensus arrangement sits well with him if his party eventually opts for it, Tinubu said he prefers democracy.
